What the school should improve
- Leaders should ensure that checks on pupils’ learning are used to consistent effect to identify gaps in pupils’ understanding and to inform subsequent teaching.
- The school should ensure that teachers adapt the curriculum to meet the specific needs of all pupils so that they overcome barriers to learning, leading to consistently high achievement in all areas of the curriculum.
- Strengthen the identification and early support for children with emerging speech, language and communication needs in the early years, so that all children are consistently well prepared for their transition to Key Stage 1.
