What Ofsted said
From the inspection on 7 July 2026
Pupils are beautifully behaved. They uphold the trust and school values and follow the school rules. Pupils show high levels of respect for each other, staff and visitors. Older pupils are models of integrity, maturity and independence. Relationships throughout the school are warm. As a result, pupils feel safe. They are motivated to attend well, and most do so regularly. Where pupils' attendance is not high, leaders support them to improve. Inclusion is a top priority. All pupils participate fully in school life, regardless of their background and any barriers they face. Many pupils arrive mid-year, often from other countries, with varied experiences of education. They speak a wide range of languages other than English. Pupils and their families appreciate the way the school values and celebrates this diversity. Everyone is welcome here. Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive excellent support to access the curriculum successfully. Effective and sensitive pastoral support enables pupils to overcome social and emotional barriers to learning and/or wellbeing. In the school's internal provision for pupils with SEND, pupils follow a carefully designed curriculum that matches their needs and helps them progress. In the national tests at the end of Year 6, pupils perform very well. This includes disadvantaged pupils. Across the curriculum, pupils make suitable progress. Overall, they are well prepared for their next steps in education. This is because the curriculum is carefully planned to target pupils' particular needs, such as language and communication. Pupils benefit from a range of opportunities beyond the curriculum, such as trips, clubs and special events. On 'Mother Tongue Day', pupils learn about cultures, languages and customs around the world. A visit from a learning-disabled music group inspires and educates pupils about difference and possibilities. Pupils are extremely well prepared for life in modern Britain.
What the school should improve
- Leaders should ensure they continue to strengthen the teaching of foundational knowledge and skills, such as phonics and handwriting, so that even more pupils achieve well across the curriculum.
- Leaders should ensure they continue to support highly effective teaching in the early years to improve all children’s readiness for later learning.
