From the inspection on 10 February 2026

Leaders successfully communicate their high expectations for all pupils. Their emphasis on these expectations within the first 6 months of the school opening is clear. Pupils, who are all currently in Year 7, respond positively to the high expectations that leaders set. Pupils' attendance is high. They enjoy school and participate fully in classroom activities. The school makes sure that all pupils take part in extra-curricular activities and learning. This includes pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities and pupils with other barriers to their learning. Pupils engage enthusiastically in debates on a range of moral issues and in academic discussions. Through the many opportunities that they have to discuss right and wrong, they listen to and respect each other's views. Pupils are focused and respectful in class and play kindly together during breaktimes. They show an interest in their learning and enjoy their studies. Pupils make appropriate progress across subjects and typically produce high-quality work. Teachers prioritise pupils’ wellbeing. This is evident in the school's policies and systems, and most clearly in the caring interactions between staff and pupils. Pupils are safe and know who to ask for help if they have any worries. As a result, pupils have the confidence to try new things and make mistakes when learning. Bullying is very rare. When it does occur, it is dealt with swiftly. Pupils enjoy visits organised for them. These include a visit to a forest, where pupils explored nature, learned to work as a team and built their resilience. Pupils look forward to taking part in further visits that the school has planned for them in the future. Pupils also enjoy playing sport and singing in the choir.

What the school should improve

  • Leaders should ensure that teachers provide pupils with sufficient opportunities to apply and embed their knowledge, so that pupils gain a deep and coherent body of knowledge across the curriculum.
  • Leaders should ensure that the professional learning programme for staff gives staff the breadth of knowledge and skills that they need to provide a high-quality education for pupils.
  • Leaders should ensure that pupils have access to a wider range of opportunities beyond the classroom to develop their talents and interests.
