Pupils excel at this exceptionally inclusive school. Many have experienced disruption to their education. Staff get to know pupils very well. They provide pupils with highly effective personalised curriculums and support programmes. These include holistic therapies which support pupils greatly in their emotional development. The school environment is nurturing and focused. Pupils typically understand and live up to the school's very high expectations for behaviour and attainment. Pupils feel safe, attend regularly and know that there is someone available to talk to if they have any concerns. Pupils on short term placements are well prepared to return to their mainstream school. Their home school receives precise information to use to support the pupils in their learning. This approach is hugely successful as most pupils then remain in mainstream education. Pupils on longer term placements in key stage 4 leave with numerous qualifications that they originally believed were beyond their reach. Pupils are very well prepared for their next steps, and progress to education, employment or training extremely successfully. Pupils benefit from a wealth of opportunities to develop their independence, confidence and self-esteem. Pupils appreciate work experience. They find out more about their own talents and become aspirational for themselves. This school provides pupils with hope for the future.
