Oswaldtwistle White Ash is an exceptional school. Staff place the needs of each pupil at the forefront of everything that they do. This helps pupils to flourish in a nurturing and caring environment. They are proud to be part of their school. Staff create an atmosphere that is warm and supportive. Pupils receive the utmost care and attention to their particular special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The school is laser-focused on ensuring that pupils' achievement is the very best that it can be. From their own individual starting points, pupils make astonishing progress. Parents and carers recognise and reflect this in their feedback. Staff build incredible working relationships with pupils. They get to know every detail of pupils, understanding their behavioural and emotional needs. This helps staff to support pupils to manage and control their own emotions and behaviour extremely well. Provision for pupils' wider development is remarkable. Pupils take part in a rich range of activities that promote their independence and prepare them very well for life beyond the school. For example, pupils experience a significant amount of outdoor learning alongside learning life skills such as shopping and cooking.
