What the school should improve

  • Those responsible for governance should ensure that leaders are able to improve weaker areas of provision in a timely fashion, including the development of provision in foundation subjects.
  • Leaders should embed the new curriculum in the early years and strengthen opportunities to engage children in high-quality interactions during independent learning times.
  • Leaders should ensure that checks on pupils’ learning are used to consistent effect to identify gaps in pupils’ understanding and to inform subsequent teaching.
