What the school should improve

  • At times, assessment is not used well enough to check that pupils have remembered the key knowledge that they have been taught. As a result, some pupils have gaps in their knowledge that persist or weakens future learning. The school should ensure that staff use assessment effectively to check what pupils know and remember and use this to inform future learning so that pupils build knowledge sequentially across the curriculum.
