What the school should improve

  • Occasionally, some gaps in writing skills go unnoticed by staff. This impacts on pupils' progress in foundational writing skills such as handwriting and spelling. To strengthen outcomes in this area, the school and the trust should ensure that all checks on pupils' writing consistently address any misconceptions or knowledge gaps they may have.
