From the inspection on 30 June 2026
This is a small school that sits at the heart of the local community. The school's values of community, friendship, love, thankfulness, trust, respect and forgiveness are central to the school's work. These values are enacted by pupils and staff. Pupils are proud of their school. Most pupils achieve well and are ready for the next stage in their education. Pupils enjoy attending school and feel safe within its environment. They know that they can speak to staff about any worries and know that adults will help to keep them safe. Pastoral care is effective and pupils are confident to seek out when needed. Overall pupils benefit from a caring and inclusive environment. The most vulnerable pupils are generally well supported. Children get off to a good start in the early years. Typically, pupils behave well. They know the school's routines and expectations and follow these. During social times, pupils engage in purposeful activities and build positive friendships. Bullying occasionally occurs. When it does, staff act swiftly to make sure that it stops. Pupils are encouraged to attend school regularly and most do. Pupils can take part in a range of inclusive extra-curricular activities, such as athletics, multi-sports, art and coding club. The curriculum is enriched through visits to the theatre, museums and sites of historic significance linked to the history curriculum. Pupils can learn to play a range of instruments, such as the guitar and piano and have the opportunity to perform in concerts. Older pupils build their resilience through annual outdoor education residential visits. Pupils have the opportunity to take on responsibilities, such as school councillor, play leader and librarian. Older pupils regularly read to younger pupils and listen to them read. These opportunities help pupils to contribute positively to school life.

- Leaders should ensure that subject leaders make a consistently positive contribution to subject leadership.
