Pupils at All Saints Catholic Primary School belong to a calm, caring and ambitious community in which they are known and valued. Pupils feel safe, happy and confident. Safeguarding and pupils' sense of belonging are treated as absolute priorities. Pupils say that bullying is not an issue. They are confident that adults will support them with any difficulties they may encounter. Attendance is high because pupils value being in school. They arrive promptly each day with smiles on their faces and talk enthusiastically about the importance of learning. Lessons get off to a brisk, purposeful start. Early morning routines focus on key skills. This helps to ensure that pupils are well prepared for the day ahead. Lessons are thoughtfully planned to be both meaningful and challenging. This helps pupils to develop curiosity, reasoning skills and independence. Pupils' efforts are celebrated as much as their successes. Generally, pupils achieve well. Leaders’ focus on improving the quality of pupils' writing is helping to ensure that the curriculum prepares pupils for their next stages of education. Pupils respond well to the support that staff provide to reduce any barriers to learning. This creates a more relaxed environment that encourages pupils to take risks and build resilience in their learning. Pupils are taught and encouraged to live out the school’s values. This shapes how they treat one another and contribute positively to the school community. Pupils behave well and play together happily. They make good use of the well-resourced outdoor environment, which includes a gym, a running track and the school garden. Opportunities for pupils to take on extra responsibility are plentiful to develop pupils’ confidence and leadership skills. Pupils take great pride in belonging to a school that supports their academic, spiritual and emotional development. Adults care deeply about them. They encourage all pupils to grow into respectful, reflective and confident young people, who are well prepared for life in modern Britain.
